Pinopticon

The Pinopticon explores the concept of Jeremy Benthams panopticon, the all seeing eye and the modern surveillance state.
I made a cylendrical pinhole camera that captured light from 360 degrees to show that it was almost impossible to escape the modern day surveillance states cctv networks, mobile phone cameras, biometric recognition and meta profiling.
The three photograms represent a view of the world (Kirkbride) from inside a cage.
